Summer is almost here in Australia and November is our favourite month to visit this vast country.
It’s warmed up in the country’s south and temperatures in the Red Centre are still tolerable.
Plus, it’s still the dry season in Queensland. Australia is one of our favourite destinations for a road trip honeymoon.
Hop from the Cairns down the beautiful coastline of Queensland, with plenty of adventure, beaches and national parks.
Take a boat trip to see the Great Barrier reef, stop off at Mission Beach and do a skydive, snorkel and scuba dive in the Whitsunday Islands and explore Fraser Island.
From Brisbane, explore the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast before hopping down to New South Whales and enjoy the boho vibes of Byron Bay.
Keep going to Sydney where you could easily spend your whole honeymoon! Climb the Harbour Bridge and soak up the beach vibes of Bondi Beach.
Don’t forget to add in Melbourne. Explore this foodie city and take trips down the Great Ocean Road.
Explore the Barossa wine region near Adelaide. Consider a more off the beaten track adventure in Western Australia.

It’s one of the best months to visit this incredibly diverse country. This is a November honeymoon destination that has it all: wild beaches, wildlife, cities and, of course, wine.
Explore Cape Town and hire a car to explore the famous Garden Route drive.
Visit penguins at Boulders Beach, take the wine tram tour of Franschhoek, do a bungee jump in Tsitsikamma National Park.
Book into a safari lodge in a game reserve in the Eastern Cape and see the Big 5 in the lap of luxury. We love Shamwari and Amakhala, to name a few!
It’s either a transitional month or rainy month in other honeymoon destinations in Africa.
You can expect showers and maybe some overcast days in Tanzania and Kenya but there are still incredible wildlife opportunities (and cheaper prices!) during this shoulder month.
Plus, you can add on a honeymoon beach stay in Zanzibar. It’s unlikely to rain all day, every day but some showers should be expected.
The hardest part is choosing between Kenya vs Tanzania!
You could opt for an off-the-beaten-track honeymoon in Mozambique or Madagascar.
If a bucket list journey to trek gorillas in Uganda or Rwanda is on your list, it can be quite wet in the jungle at this time so we’d wait a few months.
November is hot in both Namibia and Botswana, and heavy rains arrive. Victoria Falls is at its lowest level of power at this time of year.

If you’re thinking about where to honeymoon in November, it’s a great month to visit most of South America.
It’s just before summer begins in Brazil, and the weather is warm around the country.
Explore the beaches and parties along its vast coastline from Fortaleza to Rio de Janeiro, the wildlife of the Amazon and Pantanal and highlights like Ilha Grande and Iguaçu Falls.
Argentina is one our favourite November honeymoon destinations. This vast, beautiful country is perfect for a honeymoon adventure.
See a tango show in Buenos Aires, cycle around the vineyards of Mendoza, hike the stunning scenery of Patagonia and visit Iguazu Falls
Iguazu is a great spot to head on to Brazil for a multi destination honeymoon!

It’s a one of the best times for surfing – either taking part or as a spectator!

The peak of hurricane season is from late August to October, hurricanes have occurred in November around Florida and the southern states around the Gulf of Mexico.

Earlier in the month is the tail end of hurricane season. While rare, it is not impossible that a November honeymoon in the Caribbean could be spoiled!

November is a transitional month in Central America destinations like Costa Rica, Mexico and Belize.
They still experience some rainfall, although it is starting to ease throughout the month.

We’re obsessed with Secrets Resorts in Mexico. Plus, it’s the Day of the Dead at the beginning of the month, one of the most fun times to visit.
Mexico is very affordable with a range of accommodation to suit all budgets, particularly if you plan a honeymoon on the Riviera Maya from Cancun to Tulum.

Wintery weather has arrived in Europe and temperatures are cool and colder at the beginning of the low season for the continent.
If you don’t need searing temperatures, you’ll have a more local experience with excellent deals in European cities (which are perfect for a mini moon), too.
While away an evening in romantic bistro in Paris, stroll through London’s incredible museums, eat tapas in Madrid or Bacelona or tour Rome’s historic sights.
For couples who don’t mind that it’s not hot, this is great time to travel to avoid heaving crowds of summer. But it can be a bit damp with rain so pack an umbrella.
If you’re seeking a winter sports honeymoon, ski resorts begin to open later in the month through to December.
Many beach tourist hotspots are quiet , but for some sun you can still head to Spain’s Canary Islands or Portugal‘s Madeira off the coast of Africa.
