Hawaii Weather Overview

Considering the Hawaii weather by month and the best time to visit Hawaii for honeymoon is important.

Hawaii doesn’t have four seasons, it has two which can be defined as dry season / summer and rainy season / winter.

The good news is that there is no bad time to visit Hawaii for honeymoon. The tropical climate ensures warm temperatures year-round.

Yet, there are varying climatic conditions across the islands that you might want to know about as you may have certain activities in mind, hence why it’s important to consider Hawaii weather by month and the best time to visit Hawaii for honeymoon.

Hawaii weather can vary depending on the island you are visiting. Oahu, Maui, Kauai and Big Island all have different microclimates, which means that the weather can be different on each island.

Generally Kauai and Big Island get more rain throughout the year although do not let that stop you from considering these islands for your honeymoon. With unique spots like the Napali Coast and Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park they’re not to be missed.

Showers are often brief and localised and certain parts of the islands have less rainfall like the south of Kauai and west coast of Big Island.

Remember, Hawaii is lush because of the rain, so pack a rain jacket, reef-friendly SPF and plenty of insect repellent!

Overall, we’d recommend May to June and September to October as the best time to visit Hawaii for honeymoon!
