Choosing An All-Inclusive Honeymoon
Is it worth going to an all-inclusive honeymoon resort? Is an all-inclusive honeymoon package the right choice for us? These are some of the big questions we get asked about all-inclusive honeymoons!
The answer very much depends on you as a couple! All-inclusive honeymoon destinations may not be for everyone.
If you don’t drink alcohol or if you prefer to check out the local dining scene, then an all-inclusive honeymoon resort might not be the right choice of honeymoon type for you.
However, if you want to relax in a stunning resort, eat and drink without worrying about where to go or how much it’s going to cost, then all-inclusive honeymoon destinations are definitely for you!
Weddings are so much fun to plan, but they are also kinda exhausting! So the benefit of going to all-inclusive honeymoon destinations is that you don’t have to worry about a thing.
Order cocktails poolside and feast in beautiful buffets or à la carte restaurants. They might even include some fun daily activities like water sports.
When looking up all-inclusive honeymoon destinations around the world, it can be a little confusing. The price range can vary, as can what’s included!
From all-inclusive honeymoon destination to destination and all-inclusive honeymoon resort to resort, you might wonder where to start!
For example, in the Maldives, resorts mights not include all restaurants, but in Mexico, they often are. In the Maldives, there are often some added activities, but not in other destinations.
Let’s break it down — here are the best all-inclusive honeymoon destinations…

8. United Arab Emirates – Arabian All-Inclusive Honeymoon Nights
Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates are extremely popular as honeymoon city stopover as the country sits in an ideal location in the Middle East, between Europe, Asia, Africa and even Australia & New Zealand.
You can take a few days en route to any of these wonderful continents. But we think it’s a worthy honeymoon destination in its own right.
The opulent Dubai hotels with impeccable service, the pristine beaches, the romantic desert vibes, the bright lights of the cities and the sheer number of things to do.
Not only does the United Arab Emirates have some resorts, and it’s one of the best all-inclusive honeymoon destinations, but you have access to the city if the food, drinking and relaxing becomes too much!
In our Dubai Honeymoon Guide and Abu Dhabi Honeymoon Guide, we have all the essential information you need to know to plan a city honeymoon.
Dubai is a shopper’s paradise, home to extravagant shopping malls and traditional souks.

9. The Maldives – Dreamiest All-Inclusive Honeymoon Islands
This is among the most magical of all-inclusive honeymoon destinations.

If you’ve been dreaming of planning a honeymoon in the Maldives, you have our full support!
You’ve seen the romantic overwater villas, and we highly recommend staying in one of these heavenly room categories.
Upgrade to dreamy overwater bungalows with private infinity pools and your own personal water slide, for a real slice of heaven!
If you’re trying to budget, you could even split your stay. Do a couple of nights in a standard beach villa and upgrade to a bucket-list villa for the last few days. Or, opt for a more modestly priced villa.
One thing to note about the Maldives is that not all resorts are all-inclusive, particularly at the ultra-luxury level. Also, in some all-inclusive resorts, not all restaurants are included!
So it’s worth checking individual resort packages when planning a Maldives honeymoon.
Some of our favourites include Siyam World, Heritance Aarah, Ozen Life Maadhoo and Atmosphere Kanifushi.
You may only have the standard restaurant included with speciality dining costing extra. However, it’s definitely worth going all-inclusive if it’s on offer at your chosen resort in the Maldives.
The prices for food and drink are eye-watering, so it’s lovely not to have to worry about what you’re spending and you can live in the moment.
One lovely touch is that most resorts in the Maldives offer added extras like water sports included in the price.

But it’s also one of our favourite all-inclusive honeymoon destinations in its own right!
However, most couples will tag it on to a safari adventure honeymoon on mainland Tanzania or with a safari honeymoon in Kenya or even South Africa.
Spend some time seeing the Big 5 as you drive across the savannah, seeing lions, giraffes, elephants, cheetah, and a vast array of birdlife, then hop across to Zanzibar for a stunning beach add on.
You can spend your days lying by the magical Indian Ocean beaches and enjoying one of the all-inclusive honeymoon packages in resorts like Baraza Resort and Spa, Tulia Unique Beach Resort or Riu Palace.
Although, there is plenty to explore in Zanzibar if you can tear yourselves away.
