Sikinos doesn’t have many ‘tourist attractions,’ and that’s precisely why you should consider it. This is a haven for hiking and seclusion and the volcanic island is one of the tallest in the Cyclades.

Don’t miss the Episkopi Monastery. Originally a Roman tomb, this site later transformed into a Byzantine church.

The beaches don’t have any are more pebbly with yellow and grey sand. The water is crystal clear like you’d expect in the Aegean. Most visitors stick with the port beach at Alopronoia but you can visit Agios Georgios and Dialiskari

• The tourist areas of Greece are quieter over winter, with fewer ferries and some hotels and restaurants close. Late April to early October is the best time to travel to Greece, including the main Greek Islands.
  
  The smaller lesser visited islands near Santorini and Mykonos are best from mid-May to mid-September (and Mykonos party scene is best from June to September). The optimum months are April to June and September to October, as the weather is warm and the crowds are more manageable.
