Honeymoon in the USA
An icon of our time, from Alaska to Florida, California to Maine, Montana to Texas, this giant of popular culture is a melting pot of humanity with some of the most diverse landscapes. Almost everything awaits on a honeymoon in the USA…

Why Go
A honeymoon in the USA means endless possibilities! Across 50 states, you’ll find iconic cities, beautiful beaches and extraordinary national parks, innovative dining, shopping and cultural pursuits.
The United States of America is one of our favourite honeymoon destinations.
California is an all-time classic and the first US route to put on your list. The Pacific Coast Highway route from San Francisco to San Diego is a quintessential USA road trip honeymoon.
Redwoods turn to palm trees as you pass pretty coastal towns like Monterey, Carmel, and Santa Barbara. There is so much to see and do.
Visit Alcatraz and cycle across the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. Visit wineries in Napa Valley or Sonoma County, and don’t miss the epic scenery of Yosemite National Park.
Dine around Los Angeles and see the Hollywood sign from the Griffith Observatory. Stay in a cool hotel in West Hollywood with a rooftop pool. Hit the beaches of SoCal around Laguna Beach. Marvel at the endless sunsets.
Head inland to Palm Springs and Joshua Tree National Park. Bookend with a stop in Sin City, Las Vegas. While Las Vegas is famous for its 24-hour casinos, there is so much more to this neon-soaked playground. You can take a day trip to the Grand Canyon (go by helicopter if you can!).
Dive deeper into the Wild West and Native American culture in the romantic desert landscapes of Nevada, Utah, Arizona and New Mexico. Go stargazing. Explore Zion National Park or White Sands National Park. Stay in a romantic desert hotel.
Hop to Hawaii and island-hop Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island (Hawai‘i Island) – lush rainforest, surf beaches, and Polynesian culture make it a top honeymoon pick.
We also love the iconic honeymoon road trip, historic Route 66 – pure nostalgia from Chicago to Los Angeles. Stop at famous landmarks like the Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, Texas, and Route 66 State Park in Missouri.
Explore the rhythm and blues of the Deep South from New Orleans to Memphis to Nashville. Learn about the fight for racial justice and immerse yourself in the roots of popular music. Pop across to Asheville and the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Whether it’s discovering Creole and Cajun cuisine in New Orleans’ French Quarter, visiting Graceland in Memphis or taking a tour through the historic streets of Savannah and Charleston, this is one of the best areas for history buffs and foodies.
Or maybe theme parks are your thing? With thrilling rides to be found at Walt Disney World and Universal Studios Orlando, Florida is a must.
Orlando is so much fun and you can hire a car afterwards and explore the Latin vibes of Miami and drive down the Florida Keys for white sandy beaches.
Stay in towns like Key West and Key Largo for a relaxing time. Get a little more off the beaten track on the Emerald Coast’s stunning beaches.
You can also get off the beaten track in the wilds of the northern states from Montana and Wyoming to the Dakotas. Discover the diverse scenery and wildlife in Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park.
Or explore Alaska’s incredible fjords on a road trip or a cruise. You could also add on a trip to Canada as many Alaska cruises sail from Seattle and Vancouver. The American northeast is also a fantastic area for a honeymoon with a difference.
Explore the states of New England – visit quaint towns, eat lobster, and go whale watching.
Visit cities like Washington, D.C., Boston and Chicago and, of course, New York City. Whether it’s shopping, museums, food or nightlife, New York is one of the most fun city honeymoon destinations in the world.
Is the USA good for a honeymoon? Absolutely! It’s one of the most diverse honeymoon destinations on the planet. Ideal for a road trip honeymoon, a city honeymoon, a theme park honeymoon, a beach honeymoon or an adventure honeymoon.
