California is an all-time classic and the first US route to put on your list. The Pacific Coast Highway route from San Francisco to San Diego is a quintessential USA road trip honeymoon.

Redwoods turn to palm trees as you pass pretty coastal towns like Monterey, Carmel, and Santa Barbara. There is so much to see and do.

Visit Alcatraz and cycle across the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. Visit wineries in Napa Valley or Sonoma County, and don’t miss the epic scenery of Yosemite National Park.

Dine around Los Angeles and see the Hollywood sign from the Griffith Observatory. Stay in a cool hotel in West Hollywood with a rooftop pool. Hit the beaches of SoCal around Laguna Beach. Marvel at the endless sunsets.

Head inland to Palm Springs and Joshua Tree National Park. Bookend with a stop in Sin City, Las Vegas. While Las Vegas is famous for its 24-hour casinos, there is so much more to this neon-soaked playground. You can take a day trip to the Grand Canyon (go by helicopter if you can!).

Orlando is so much fun and you can hire a car afterwards and explore the Latin vibes of Miami and drive down the Florida Keys for white sandy beaches.

Stay in towns like Key West and Key Largo for a relaxing time. Get a little more off the beaten track on the Emerald Coast’s stunning beaches.
