The best time to visit Las Vegas
The best time to visit Las Vegas for honeymoon is during Spring and Autumn, from March to May and September to October.
Las Vegas is cooler in winter, from November to February, with average temperatures of 10 °C / 50 °F.
In July and August, the temperatures are sizzling and can reach 40 °C / 100 °F. It rarely rains heavily in Las Vegas.
Where to stay in Las Vegas
If you’re planning a Las Vegas honeymoon, then The Las Vegas Strip (or just The Strip) along Las Vegas Boulevard is where you’ll want to be.
It’s seven kilometres long and lined with hotels, attractions and distractions!
You don’t plan a Las Vegas honeymoon to spend too much time in your room when there are so many things to see and do and fun to be had!
However, it’s hard to resist the allure of a luxury hotel on your Las Vegas honeymoon.
Guest rooms with an in-room jacuzzi or whirlpool tub? Panoramic views of the Strip or views of the Las Vegas valley? Las Vegas hotels are the spot for a romantic stay and a fun honeymoon.
There’s a few things you should know:
One is ‘resort fees’. These are an additional fee you pay on top of your room rate at check-in, usually around $50 per room per night.
For couples travelling from outside of the USA, it is a little frustrating that extra cost resort fees are a thing, however unfortunately they are mandatory.
In Las Vegas honeymoon hotels, the rooms can be a little dated, even in some of the 5-star hotels.
Personal service can sometimes be lacking because of the size of the hotels (unless you’re spending big money in the casino, which comes with VIP extras).
Mixed reviews are the norm. On the other hand, Las Vegas honeymoon hotels have a fun atmosphere, hotel rooms are usually spacious and it’s one of the best places for awesome city views in the world.

Remember that 3 nights will only give you 2 full days and 4 nights is 3 full days and so on.
Most couples will tag on a Las Vegas honeymoon to a road trip honeymoon, multi-city honeymoon, or beach honeymoon. Las Vegas has so much to do that you could easily stay a week, too!
How do we get to Las Vegas?
There are approximately 500 flights per day to Las Vegas airport (airport code: LAS).
You can fly directly to Las Vegas from European cities like London, Dublin, Amsterdam, and Frankfurt (10-12 hours).
From other European cities or from Asia and Australia, you will need to connect in another United States city such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, Atlanta, or New York (to name a few).
You can also drive to Las Vegas from Los Angeles, Palm Springs, and Phoenix in around 4-5 hours.
Salt Lake City and San Diego are around a 6-hour drive.
When you arrive, the airport is just a few kilometres southeast of the Strip, and you’re usually only around 15 minutes from your hotel (traffic dependent) by taxi (or book a transfer to avoid queues)!

How do get around Las Vegas?
You won’t need a car in Las Vegas unless you want to take a road trip outside the city.
If you need a ride, you can take a taxi or use Uber or Lyft (which are cheaper than taxis).
There is also the Las Vegas monorail and the Deuce on The Strip bus. You can often walk too.
Everything seems close but sometimes it’s not, so use your hotel concierge to get advice on the best way to get to places (i.e. taxi, walk, monorail).
