A honeymoon in Thailand ticks all the boxes for a stunning adventure.

Most couples will start in Bangkok, which at first is an assault on the senses. But scratch the surface and you can expect incredible dining, nightlife and cultural pursuits. While many couples head straight for the world-famous beaches of the east and west coasts in the south, no visit is complete without exploring the cultural heart of the country in the north, around Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and Pai and The Golden Triangle for cuisine, elephant sanctuaries, hikes, waterfalls & temples.

Heading south to island-hop (whether it’s both coasts or one) you can expect days of doing nothing by the pool or beach or you can spend it taking speedboats to other islands, kayaking around limestone karsts jutting out of the emerald green sea, Pad Thai for lunch from a beach hut restaurant, taking a moment of reflection at a temple with ornate Buddha statues, snorkelling and diving and partying until the early hours.

Thailand is one of our ultimate honeymoon destinations.

The best time to visit Thailand for a honeymoon is from November to April. It is the dry season in the north (around Chiang Mai & Chiang Rai) and the west coast beach areas of Phuket and the surrounding islands in the Andaman Sea. The east coast beaches around Koh Samui in the Gulf of Thailand have a different climate pattern and the heaviest rains for this area are from September to November.

Is Thailand good for a honeymoon? Yes, it’s perfect for a beach, culture and foodie honeymoon.
