Whether it’s lying on the picture-perfect west coast Crane Beach or windsurfing on the wilder east coast Silver Sands beach, there is a beach type for every couple on this friendly tropical island.

Hire a car and explore the historic plantation architecture and learn about Barbados’s colonial past. Stop at off-the-beaten-track beaches or hike trails with spectacular views. Gastronomy fans will love the abundant restaurants sharing the freshest catch-of-the-day.

For party lovers, the birthplace of Rum is an obvious choice. Explore the bustling nightlife of St Lawrence’s Gap and Bridgetown.

Barbados is one of our favourite Caribbean honeymoon destinations.

Barbados is a tropical destination that is warm all year round and experiences ‘wet’ and ‘dry’ seasons. The wettest months are from July to November when you can expect heavy downpours, after which the sun will come back out. During the wet season, hurricanes are unlikely but can sometimes occur. The best time to visit Barbados for a honeymoon is from December to May.

Is Barbados good for a honeymoon? Yes, it’s perfect for a tropical beach honeymoon.
