This Central American volcanic gem is blessed with paradise beaches and adventures abound…a honeymoon in Costa Rica is the perfect choice for adventure and beach lovers…
A pioneer of eco-friendly travel and sustainable tourism, Costa Rica is a land of volcanos, rivers and rainforests.
Most couples will start in the capital, San José, which is a jumping-off point to explore this exciting country. Head to Tortuguero and Sarapiquí Rainforest and discover the wildlife and bird life of the jungle and coffee farms. Visit Monteverde to zip-line through the lush jungle and navigate suspension bridges through cloud forests on the Sky Walk. Explore the area around the Arenal volcano and go whitewater rafting, biking, horseback riding and waterfall rappelling.
Dip your toes in both the Pacific Ocean AND the Caribbean Sea. Our favourite and one of the most popular is Manuel Antonio, which is surrounded by pristine rainforest. Take a boat tour to spot wild dolphins or take a surfing lesson. Snorkel at Cahuita National Park away from the crowds.
Learn to live the Pura Vida “pure life” from proud Ticos (Costa Ricans). A honeymoon in Costa Rica will be a magnificent adventure.
The best time to visit Costa Rica for a honeymoon is from December to April. During the rainy season from May to October expect short but heavy downpours but you will still experience sunshine. Although Costa Rica does not experience hurricanes, we recommend avoiding the heavier rains from late August to late October.
