An epic honeymoon adventure destination, a honeymoon in Colombia, has it all.

Most couples start in Bogota, the 3rd highest capital in the world. Visit the gold museum Museo del Oro and climb Monserrate for amazing views. The Caribbean coast beaches are beautiful, with some of the best diving in the world on Malpelo Island. Go whale watching off the Pacific Ocean coast. Explore Armenia, the coffee region and visit a farm to learn about bean to cup. Visit Medellín and take a graffiti tour of Comuna 13, once considered one of the world’s most dangerous neighbourhoods, but now transformed. Andes mountain peaks or the exotic flora and fauna of the Amazon jungle.

A trek to the Ciudad Perdida or the lost city is a must, as is Tayrona National Park (check dates as it sometimes closes for two weeks, particularly in June). Explore Providencia and the reefs on the coast with palm-tree lined beaches and San Gil where you’ll find endless adventure activities (and lots of coffee!).

Colombia is one of our favourite honeymoon destinations for intrepid explorers!

Because of the varying climate conditions across the country, Colombia can be visited all year round, as you are unlikely to encounter long spells of adverse weather. The best time to visit Colombia for a honeymoon is from December to March when it is the dry season in the Andes. The Caribbean coast gets more rain in September and October.

Is Colombia good for a honeymoon? Yes, it’s perfect for adventure honeymooners who want a diverse honeymoon experience.
