About

Bhutan is an isolated nation nestled between India and China, that limits travellers (and in fact only opened to visitors in 1974 and TV was banned until 1999) making it one of the most unique, off-the-beaten-track nations you can visit on earth.

The world’s only carbon-neutral country, aiming to be fully organic, they measure their success on Gross National Happiness and after trekking their beautiful valleys and peaks you’ll feel just that – happiness as you explore secluded ancient temples, chat with friendly locals and meander through the valleys. The aim of the game is sustainable tourism and you can only visit this unique destination on an organised tour (although it doesn’t necessarily have to be with a group). The people of Bhutan are Buddhist so you can immerse yourself in mindfulness and a wonderful spiritual experience. A honeymoon in Bhutan is perfect for couples looking for roads less travelled…

Weather

Although you can visit all year round, the best time to visit Bhutan is during Spring from March to May when the valleys are flourishing with flowers in bloom or in Autumn from September to November during the rice harvest. Summer, from June to August does get some showers due to the monsoon and winter December to February can get chillier temperatures but visiting the country is still possible.
