The Serengeti, the Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara combine to make Tanzania one of the earth’s ultimate wildlife experiences. Hear the lion’s roar, watch elephants roam, marvel at the flamboyance of flamingos, and witness the great migration of wildebeest.

Try the southern parks like Nyerere National Park to get a little more off the beaten track. Ascend Africa’s tallest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro, with its snow-capped peaks and one of the most challenging physical activities on the planet.

Fly in for a luxury safari lodge, get off the beaten track in different parks or travel in a landrover that turns into a hotel suite. The incredible biodiversity will blow you away.

The Indian Ocean paradise, Zanzibar, aka Spice Island, awaits with powder white sand and cerulean water that is perfect for diving and the tiny ancient trading port capital, Stone Town, is a delight for intrepid honeymoon explorers.

A honeymoon in Tanzania is one of the best Africa has to offer.

The best time to visit Tanzania for honeymoon is from late June to October during the dry season when game viewing is at its best. From January to February there are short rains but it is also the calving season which is a fantastic time to visit with fewer crowds. We do not recommend April to May due to heavy rains.

Is Tanzania good for a honeymoon? Yes, it’s perfect for a safari & beach honeymoon.

How long do you need for a honeymoon in Tanzania? We recommend at least 10 nights for a honeymoon in Tanzania, at least 4 nights for safari and 7 nights for Zanzibar.
